3D Animated Loop made with friends for Halloween 2024 !

“At the top of a Tower, during a Tarot reading, a bat draws the only card she didn’t want to see…”

I was responsible of the Concept, Storyboard, Color Design, Modeling, Surfacing, Rendering and Compositing aspects.

This Tarot Card is part of a Trypitch made with friends. Our goal was to work together on a project, merging our different skills and artistic universes (concept, rig, light, sculpt…) with clear constraints in mind : The loop had to be finished for Halloween, 1 month and a half later.

Being responsible and leading the overall image and art direction of the middle card, I had to come up with ideas that would be impactful and interesting while being economic time and production wise, as the time frame was very tight and the means limited.

Concept Art 

The idea behind that Tarot card was to playfully get the story of the falling tower, with an interesting design and look, in an easy and non-time consuming way.

I was inspired by “collages”, bringing together the realist and stylised looks of the other cards in the triptych, while making room for surfacing experimentation – something I really want to push in my work.
